Jan Hartley is a metalsmith specializing in the fabrication of fine
silver and gold jewelry. She went to California College of the Arts
and studied sculpture in undergraduate and post-graduate classes
casting bronze and ultimately stainless steel.
She then moved to New York and, in 1980, working with Ping Chong

Projection Design. After retiring from a career in the theater
in 2019, Ms. Hartley began to study metalsmithing and jewelry
fabrication and has returned to her roots in sculpture.
